Very general statement there. I know, being nice is supposed to be the norm, but honestly, you don't see enough nice people out there anymore. But today I saw something that made me smile.

I was leaving my Philosophy class today, when I saw a bright blue balloon on a bush. I saw that it had writing on it, so I got curious and decided to go take a look.
It's so simple, just a balloon that reads "you're beautiful" in cursive.
But it made me so happy.
People don't hear things like that enough in life. Here people hold doors and say "thanks", and they do things like this. It gives me hope, and makes me happy, to know that even in the midst of all of the "problems" we all face, there are people out there with beating, loving hearts. It's the sort of thing that gives me faith that maybe, just maybe, we're not living in such a "horrible" place after all.
